Shero and Vex, a web comic from creators Rebecca Rothschild and Erika Swanson, published monthly on LortNation.com, is celebrating its one year anniversary.

The comic features two women, Mia (aka Shero) – a local superhero – who ends up becoming roommates with Paige (aka Ves) – a notorious supervillain. The strip has a satirical feel to it, and features some fun, colourful artwork from Swanson.

Speaking about the anniversary, writer Rothschild said “I wanted to make something feminine, accessible and funny as hell.  Thanks to Erika, I get all of that and more.  It really doesn’t feel like it’s been a whole year.  Working with Erika is insanely fun.  I feel like we’ve established a fun little universe that we’re ready to share with a larger fan base.”
