Joss Whedon made some interesting comments about Avengers 2 on the red carpet of the Iron Man 3 premier.

Talking to Yahoo news, Whedon said “When you’re dealing with the story, when you’ve got the characters that you love, when you’ve got the new characters sliding in next to them – it’s very exciting. Then I don’t feel pressure, then I feel like I’m reading my favorite comic.”

Fair enough, right?

But he then went on to say “I’ve got these two characters, two of my favorite characters from the comic book, a brother-sister act, they’re in the movie. That’s exciting! You lock certain things in, there’s a fluidity.”

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, anyone?

Kevin Feige was asked about the pair in an interview, and said “They’re uh – It’s a little complicated, but if they want to use them in an X-Men movie they could, and if we want to use them in an Avengers movie we could. They’re unique.”
