I’m finally getting round to catching up on my last few weeks of unread comics, and just finished reading the latest issue of James Tynion IV’s Talon this lunchtime.

I am absolutely loving the way this series is developing, and I think Calvin Rose has been built up extremely well as an entertaining, intriguing three-dimensional character without having to rely on a series of pointless cameos from more recognized names.

That said, I’m not 100% sold on the addition of Bane to the ongoing story, but I’m willing to give Tynion the benefit of the doubt as his writing has been so solid thus far.

I initially had reservations about the ongoing appeal of a character born out of such a specific storyline, but thus far my doubts have been completely erased through a series of exciting twists and turns and some strong writing and artwork.  A fun comic in every sense of the word, and I think Calvin’s character has been developed beautifully thus far.

Any other Talon fans on the page?
