It’s just been announced that the heroes of the DC universe are getting set to go up against Eternia’s finest in a new six-part mini series due to kick off this August.

DC Universe vs. The Masters of the Universe will be written by Keith Giffen and illustrated by Dexter Soy.

Here’s the blurb:

“After narrowly escaping his last battle with He-Man, Skeletor has fled to the most unexpected realm to recover: EARTH! Once there, he sets a plan in motion to siphon off Earth’s core magic. Forging an unlikely hunting party, He-Man and company go in search of Skeletor. Finding themselves at odds with the heroes of the DC Universe, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe must find a way to stop Skeletor and his mysterious new master!”

As a massive He-Man fan, (particularly of Giffen’s new series), I’m really not a fan of this news. I know these kind of crossovers aren’t exactly new, but I’m failing to see the point personally.

What do you guys think?

If the story is a well-written one, then it would be worth the read.
