In some interesting, though potentially puzzling news, more details have been released about Batman: Arkham Origins.
Roger Craig Smith (whose previous voice work includes Chris Redfield from Resident Evil and Ezio from Assassin’s Creed) will seemingly be voicing Batman, NOT Kevin Conroy.
Now with Conroy himself confirming that he’s been working on the game, we can only speculate that the game could potentially feature flashbacks with an older and younger Bruce Wayne in the game and both Conroy and Smith taking turns with the role. Fingers crossed, anyway.
The Joker is also confirmed to appear in the game but he’s also voiced by a different actor, Troy Baker, with Mark Hamill seemingly keeping to his promise that Arkham City would be his last time in the Joker role (Booo! Hiss!)
Other villains confirmed thus far are Bane, Deadshot, Anarky, Black Mask, and of course Deathstroke (who, as we reported earlier, will be a playable character – although whether this will be in the story mode or not remains is still unconfirmed). The box art also features Killer Croc and Penguin.”
Oh, and in case you missed it, the official trailer was released too!
So what do we make of all this?
