Comic News – Ben Reilly & The “Anti-Batman”.

970195_538041539575440_618768912_nIt’s Wednesday, it’s sunny and no doubt most of y’all are enjoying some new comics.

News wise there’s not much happening today but I’ve managed to dig up a couple of stories that should grab yer interest.

First up is this wee blurb from Marvel which strongly hints that fan favourite Ben Reilly will be making a return to the pages of Spider-man/Scarlet Spider very soon.

• After last issue’s shocking ending, everything has changed for Kaine. His second chance at life is over.
• At his lowest point, he comes face to face with the one man that’s fueled his obsession, hate and guilt his entire life… BEN REILLY.”

With the Jackal being involved in the “Sibling rivalry” crossover and his love for messing with clones it seems highly likely Ben could be back……and If I were to take a stab at guessing I’d say it could be a window of opportunity for Parker to return as well.

And secondly we have a better look at “The Anti-BATMAN” Wrath! The character is set to make his debut in the pages of Detective comics very soon. An interview with Bob Harras for DC had this to say.

“There’s no denying that Batman is one of the strongest superheroes in the DC Universe, and with access to state-of-the-art technology, the Dark Knight has incredibly resources at his disposal to aid in his efforts fighting crime. But what if Batman used his power for evil instead of good? Enter Wrath. He’s got all the same gadgets and vehicles as the Dark Knight – but his intentions for how they’re used couldn’t be more opposite. Mainly because they’re far more lethal…”

There you go folks, whats yer thoughts on this then?
