As I’ve mentioned before, I moved house fairly recently which meant I got the opportunity to get all my comics and graphics out of storage and, well, dump them on my otherwise empty livingroom floor until I decide wtf I’m going to do with them all.

I also got asked for a loan of the first volume of the Walking Dead this weekend however I couldnt find it amongst the general chaos and mayhem that is my unsorted collection at the moment.

This put me in mind of a question I was asked whilst I was reading the graphic of “Anti- Venom: New Ways to Live” (not bad, btw):

“Do you not get fed up spending all that money on comics and reading them so quickly?”

Now at the time, I just looked up, said “No” and then kept reading but having looked at everything on the floor I couldnt help but think that this represents thousands of hard earned pounds over the years. Should that be something I so flippantly disregard?

An average weekly spend for me is around £35 thats pretty crazy when you think about it and I have no doubts that this figure even comes close to the cash some of you drop on comics.

So whats the answer, be more discriminate with your choices, stick to singles, stick to trades or take the ‘Fuck it, it’s my money” attitude? What do you guys think, how many ivory back scratchers do you think you’ve bought the Marvel and DC execs over the years and how much would you have to spend before you think “Oh, thats a bit much”?
