Interesting news for Nostalgiaphiles and Super Sentai aficionados MTV Geek as independent publisher Papercutz is set to launch a series of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers graphic novels.

Previously the publisher has taken to producing graphic novels upon other series of graphic novels on Power Rangers, This would be the first time the publisher has attempted perhaps the most popular iteration of the team.

Writer Stefan Petrucha and  Artist PH Marcondes are set to tell tales that work alongside the original series as opposed to being a straight up adaptations. And for those expecting Tommy to appear straight away will be in for a short wait as the series is set to begin with the original five Jason, Trinie, Billy, Zack and the ever delightful Kimberly, Of course series antagonist Rita Repulsa will be appearing [pictured below] but it is said “There’s going to be an all-new villain”.
