Rumours are circulating about The CW adding another string to their superhero bow with a series based on The Flash. Arrow writers Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti alongside DC’s Geoff Johns, are being rumoured to be putting together a pilot, with a cameo in the Arrow series being suggested for the character before he breaks off on his own.

This is all purely speculative at this time, but the rumour is expected to be discussed in more depth by The CW at today’s Television Critics Association panel.

UPDATE: Series has been confirmed by CW executive Mark Pedowitz. Barry Allen will debut as a recurring character on Arrow, before breaking out into his own series
