More details revealed about The CW’s upcoming Flash series.

the_flash*POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR THE SECOND SERIES OF ARROW*

More details have been released about the new Flash TV series spinning off from Arrow.

– As previously rumoured, Arrow co-creators Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti will co-write the Arrow scripts featuring Barry Allen alongside DC’s Geoff Johns.

– Barry Allen is set to appear in episodes 8, 9 and 20 of Arrow, with the 20th episode effectively serving as a pilot for the Flash series.

– Casting is currently underway, with nothing confirmed as yet.  Although they are looking for people who “look good in red”.

– With the unpowered Arrow universe, there was speculation of how a character like the Flash could work, but it was confirmed that he will indeed have the same powers as the DC Comic series. Although, they were reluctant to go into details about just how he obtains these powers.

To be honest, I’m really excited about these announcements. While I’ve never been a huge Flash fan, I’ve also never been a Green Arrow fan and I absolutely love the Arrow series, so I’m viewing this announcement with something approaching giddy excitement.

So what do you guys think about The Flash coming to our TV screens?

  1. I really liked The Flashpoint Paradox, and it showed that Flash can hold his own as a main character so his own spin-off series/movie would be great.

I’m also hoping that with all the mentions of Bludhaven we could see Nightwing appear. But before all that I need to finish catching up on season 1 of Arrow.
