I don’t really know what to say about this book. It jumps straight into the action with a scene that looks like it would fit right in with Superman/Doomsday. From there though it just feels more and more like a 90’s X-Men comic with clichéd dialog and a plot line that tries really hard to be “golden age-y” but just misses the mark.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the art though, as John Byrne creates a Superteam that just seems to ‘work’? Also the token Villain of the story ticks every box down to the toxic green colour scheme.

While not this reviewers cup of tea, it’s worth picking up even just to see where it goes in a few issues.

Rating: 4/10.
