A late comer to the party here, I’ve got nothing but praise for this series. The art is up to its usual standard, with demons roaming the earth all bets do seem to be off with the creation of random foes on the street. Mignola has got to the stage now where I wonder who is actually writing who, with every character having a unique and individual feel to them and the story seeming to just effortlessly flow.
If it was to criticize this month’s book, it would be that it is mid-arc, so the pacing is a bit slow and feels like it is leading up to the latter half as opposed to building from previous issues. However, this is a minor gripe and this book should be in everyone’s read pile, along with the rest of the Mingnola-verse books.
