In the letters page of yesterday’s Daredevil , Editor Steve Wacker sent the internet (and me, to be honest) into a frenzy with this response to a fan’s letter;

“Thanks, Jaleel. Many of you seem to have enjoyed DD colorist Javier Rodriguez’s art work on his recent two-parter and I certainly hear you. Javier will be back to draw issue #34 in a couple of months to give Chris time to focus on our big two-part finale to this era of Daredevil. Sad, I know, but all things must end, right?”

What?!

All things must not end, dammit!  Daredevil is easily my favourite ongoing title at the moment, and has been pretty much since the first issue.  Once I’d calmed down enough to turn on my computer, I stumbled across the following Tweet from Chris Samnee;

UntitledAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!

Okay, so this was turning into a pretty bad day, all things considered.  However, a little more browsing turned up this comment from series writer Mark Waid just a week or so ago about DD’s prospects in 2014;

“They’re…interesting. And quite unexpected and quite familiar at the same time,” Waid said. “They may or may not involve a drastic shift in Matt Murdock’s career and lifestyle. But we do know this one thing for sure, the Waid/Samnee/Rodriguez/Caramagna team isn’t going anywhere, and we’re striving for new heights!”

So who knows what to think, really?  On one hand, issue is clearly going to be the end of the current run, which is bad.  On the other, it seems like the team is staying together in one form or another, which is good.

Possibly another Captain Marvel-esque pointless re-launch with a new and the same creative team (and most likely an increased $3.99 cover price)?

Anyone have any wild theories, or just feel like reassuring me that it’s all going to be okay? *sniffle*
