Marvel have announced that the new member of the Guardians of The Galaxy will be none other than everyone’s favourite symbiote, Venom.

A few days ago, the publisher unveiled the cover of the The Guardians of the Galaxy Free Comic Book Day Special, due in may 2014, and revealed Carol Danvers as a new addition to the team, but they kept us guessing as to who the other new member could be. Many suggested Cable (probably due to the huge gun), but Venom’s alien origins actually make sense here, and he could well be an interesting addition to the team.

It looks as though Marvel are keen to have The Guardians of The Galaxy play a major role in the Marvel Universe going forward, but what do you think? Are you happy to see the team expanding this way?
