As part of Marvel Now’s next wave of comics it has been reported that Daredevil will be one getting a significant if familiar change. In March issue number 1 of Daredevil will see Daredevil return to San Fransisco and move away from the more established Hell’s Kitchen.The significance of San Francisco to Daredevil is deep rooted dating back to the seventies when Matt was partnered with Black Widow with the title even being renamed “Daredevil and the Black Widow”. However following the dissolution of the relationship Matt returned to his practise in Hell’s Kitchen.

It was during an interview with the Nerdist that Waid explained the change “Without spoiling too much of the final issue of the previous series, we can tell you that Matt has to leave New York and, in many ways, has no choice but to return to California–specifically, California, no where else to go. But that’s where he and his cast will hang their collective hat from now on.” with Samnee adding the decision wasn’t his but he looked forward to it, Given Samnee is already firmly established as a team it makes one wonder as to how much of the change Waid himself had a hand in.

This wouldn’t be the first time in recent years that Daredevil has been rebooted granted the current run started in 2011 so why the change?, Regardless issue one of the new title will be with us in March so we will see what changes happen then.
