BREAKING NEWS: Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyders Batman vs. Superman!

It has been officially announced that Israeli actress Gal Gadot will be playing Wonder Woman in Zack Snyders Batman vs Superman, due for release in 2015. Ending months of speculation Snyder released the following statement:

“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”

The Miss Israel winner and Miss Universe contestant is probably best known for her role as Gisele in the Fast and Furious series. We’ll keep you updated of any further casting announcements regarding the film, or indeed any information as to Wonder Womans role in the film. Solo film, anyone?
