Lost’s Josh Holloway apparently in talks for Batman vs Superman role, Aquaman speculation ensues

reboot-aquaman-preview-01Pinch of salt as always, but are reporting that Lost star Josh Holloway (Sawyer, to you at home) is being “strongly” considered for a role in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Batman vs Superman (Justice League?) movie.

And, with this being the internet, there’s a pretty obvious piece of rampant speculation that’s immediately coming to mind… right?

So, what do we think, folks?

  1. I don’t know much of Josh Holloway’s work but I think that he could make a good Aquaman judged by looks only of course.

  2. This film is starting to sound more and more like a JLA film, wonder if these will be substantial roles, or just to cameos, to pave the way for a full JLA movie in the future?

    • I don’t think there is any evidence to support this sounding like a Justice League. First rule of the rumor mill… never trust the rumor mill. There have only been 3 characters confirmed no others have been confirmed and all of the rumors to come out have been total BS. I’m hoping for these cameos but this is NOT Justice League and it would be a mockery to the team if it was.

      • The only real evidence to support that is a tweet by a WB producer, and rampant comic fan speculation. I’m with you, in that I hope this *doesn’t* turn out to be a full-blown Justice League movie. At least not yet, anyway. By all means introduce some of the other characters (Aquaman, Flash, etc.) in cameos, but I’m hoping the Batman/Superman relationship remains centre stage… along with whatever threat they have to overcome, that is (Luthor?). It’s in danger of becoming incredibly bloated as it is.

      • We see eye to eye!

      • I hope so, I think it would ruin it. Hopefully these will just be cameos. So much hype around this film, easy to get swept along with it all.
