During a Word Balloon podcast, Brian Michael Bendis announced some of the creators for the “all-star artist jam” of All-New X-Men #25.
Bendis said, “All-New X-Men #25, is a double, close to triple-size anniversary issue. It’s kind of like the tail-end of the fiftieth anniversary of the X-Men celebration. It is an all-star jam issue, and we specifically went for people who I’ve never worked with before, or, literally, you’ll never get a whole book out of them. We’re putting together the final pieces right now, but Bruce Timm and Art Adams and Paul Smith and quite a few other people are joining us.”
He continues, “I can’t even tell you how excited I am. Pixar artists are in it, some guys that are Tumblr heroes like Dan Hipp, and some other people… There’s this dude — I can’t remember his name off the top of my head, but there’s a guy on Tumblr that does these Jean Grey stories that he writes and draws. And they’re hilarious, and we got him. He’s gonna do a piece, and it’s his Marvel debut.”
He went on to confirm Rafael Grampa, Skottie Young, J. Scott Campbell and David Mack as being part of the issue.
So what do you think? Are you a fan of these “artist jam” issues featuring a bunch of different creators?
