When the ‘name’ superhero dies, it’s a hard thing for his former sidekick to continue, especially if you’re stuck with a name like Flyboy.
So far this series has concentrated on how much it sucks for the former protegé of the assassinated Red Cowl, but this issue really turns the corner as Flyboy seeks revenge on the supposed killer only to have the plot take a possibly unexpected twist.
Aside from some pretty panels, this title doesn’t light me up too much as the premise feels like it’s been done before (at least a few times by various incarnations of Robin, for example) and despite attractive art and hints of the title being capable of more, I just don’t care much…
It’s not terrible by any means, but it just didn’t pop with me.
Rating: 2/5.
