We’re delighted to report that the renowned creator of Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Watterson was received the Grand Prix award at the 41st annual Angoulême International Comics Festival in France this past weekend.
According to their website, The Grand Prix is awarded each year to recognise an author for his overall output and his contribution to the development of the comic strip. Speaking personally I must say that I have a stack of his collected books in my house and fond memories of the days when it used to be published in UK newspapers so I’m very pleased to see him being recognised for his work.
