Team BCP was deeply saddened this week by news of Leonard Nimoy’s illness. Despite giving up smoking around 30 years ago, he has gone on record as  attributing his former habit to the development of the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease he is now experiencing.

By all accounts he appears to be taking his illness in good stride but as sad as this news is for us, even now he is using his position to try and help others by speaking out against the dangers of smoking. In his own words:

“I have COPD. Grandpa says, quit now!!! LLAP.”

Ladies and gentleman, Leonard Nimoy is one of the greats and we hope you’ll all join us in thinking about him and wishing him the best as his treatment progresses. It is, after all, only logical.
