Rocksteady Games, the studio behind Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, may be set to reveal their next instalment in the franchise in the coming weeks.
Speculation comes after US retailer GameStop received advertising banners (pictured below), set to go up in stores the week of March 3. Rocksteady have reportedly marked the date to announce their next upcoming project.
The last release in the franchise, ‘Arkham Origins’ was developed by WB Games Montreal, but received some criticism for it’s story, so if Rocksteady are indeed taking hold of the Arkham games again it could be great news for fans.
All of this is, of course, unconfirmed for the moment, but fans may remember voice actor Kevin Conroy letting slip last year about his work on a new Arkham game. Conroy did not voice bats in ‘Origins’, so this may well be that game.
We’ll certainly have more news on this as it develops.
