SecretWarsII2No doubt many people have seen this at some point before, but I couldn’t help but post about it, as this one always makes me laugh.

This scene took place in issue of Marvel’s Secret Wars II, written by Jim Shooter, with art by Al Milgrom.  In the series, The Beyonder – the big bad from the original Secret Wars – visits New York in search of knowledge and enlightenment.

From Wikipedia:

“At first the Beyonder tries to figure out the meaning of the simple everyday tasks humans do everyday, such as: eating, sleeping, using the bathroom, etc…”

Umm, yeah. That last one sounds a bit odd, right? Here’s how that played out:

EXPLAIN

The scene raises a few questions (do super-people need to get undressed to go to the bathroom, or does he have an ‘invisible cosmic zipper’ or something?), and it’s obviously a little ambiguous as to whether he is going ‘Number One’ or ‘Number Two’, but considering that the scene is so daft to begin with, it just makes the whole thing more entertaining if we assume Spidey just explained to The Beyonder that he had to crap. It’s even funnier when you consider that the overuse of exclamation marks indicates that the whole exchange is playing out in a VERY SHOUTY AND DRAMATIC FASHION!

CONSUMATED

And that, boys and girls, is how The Beyonder learned to poo. THE EXPERIENCE IS CONSUMATED!
