So for our latest instalment of Show Me Yours, I thought I’d go for something a little different from the norm.
As some of you may know, I’m a massive fan of sketches and original artwork, and the walls of my ‘mancave’ at home are quite literally covered with framed sketches from some of my favourite artists. However, to take things up a notch, I decided that I wanted to try and get something a little more personal – something truly unique to me.
Enter the fantastic Phil Buckenham of Robot-Zombie Comics, who I became aware of entirely by chance during BCP’s promotional lead-up to London Super Comic Con earlier this year. Y’see, Phil does some truly fantastic commissions based on, among other things, The Walking Dead. And what’s more, he offers people the opportunity to see themselves as part of the zombie uprising (either as walker, or as a survivor).
A few emails and photographs were exchanged – including one of my cat, Freddie – and I waited excitedly until I could pick it up at the Con. And when I did, I was absolutely blown away. Take a look;

I mean, who wouldn’t want one of these hanging on their wall? And now, this fantastically detailed, digitally coloured A3 print is hanging in pride of place in my living room (yes folks, I said living room – my fiancée loved it so much that, for the first time, my comic sketch obsession was allowed out into the ‘real’ house), and looks absolutely amazing.
So yeah, something a little different, and something well worth the incredibly modest price I had to pay for it. Phil does a lot of other commissions, and offers prints, covers etc. of basically anything, so if you like what you see here, you should definitely check out the Robot-Zombie Comic Facebook page and drop him a line. Tell him Craig sent ya ;)
