After weeks of speculation, director James Gunn has confirmed that his good friend Nathan Fillion will indeed have a cameo in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Responding to questions on Twitter, Gunn Tweeted;

Which, understandably, led to widespread rejoicing and all manner of speculation. Surely this must mean that the other rumours were true? That Fillion was going to be playing Nova? Well, not so fast;

So I guess there’s only one way for sure to find out just who Fillion will be playing in his upcoming cameo. Guardians of the Galaxy hits theatres on August 1st.
