Wall Street magnate Trevor Richmond has succeeded in finding a way to avoid going to prison for embezzling millions from investors. He has a new life, a new name, a new face and a new past. No one can ever come looking for him. It’s everything he could possibly have asked for. Until he discovers someone who lives in his house, his life, with his name, his lover, and worse still, his own face. A total stranger has stolen everything he is, was, and hoped to be…and he’s not about to let that theft go unanswered, no matter what it may cost him.

Per my previous review when a story gets stretched out it can hinder what’s already established. We see signs of that in this case here, but the show must go on or in this case the story. Trevor Richmond’s identity has been successfully changed but when he discovers someone else has his former life he wants it back. “Lost” puts him on a wild goose chase for answers that ultimately establish two new story lines, which no one really asked for, Diana (sandwich maker) and Roy Chambers’ (Mr. Black’s Private Eye) respectively. At this point we can only hope it all pays off.

The primary story here sets up the differences between the “alt” Trevor and the real Trevor. The new Trevor has humbled himself under the consequences of the old Trevor’s choices and is treated like the prodigal son come home, which they actually reference in the story. The real Trevor fights for what he took for granted citing that the alt has taken something that doesn’t belong to him. I guess it makes the original Trevor more unlikable than he was to begin with, but I thought the first issue made that point very clear.

With Diana and Roy’s stories thrown into the mix I’m hoping for a mind bending twist ending. I doubt they would rush two additional stories just to wrap everything up in issue three. Which makes me wonder, how many more issues will we go through before the stories either collided or conclude.

Rating: 2/5.
