The Latino Review, fast becoming the Star Wars equivalent of Edward Snowden, has posted a series of leaks this week. In conjunction with pop culture website Indie Revolver, who have outdone themselves in acquiring and releasing production set photos, they have built what could be the full Episode VII story. Consider yourself warned, these are big spoilers and relate to major plot points in the new film, read on at your peril…
Monty Python jokes at the ready, because the main antagonist will be an Inquisitor!
Inquisitors are dark-side adepts and defenders of the Sith and are likely loosely based on the Inquisitorius Division of the Expanded Universe. Score one for the books!
This information (according to Latino Review) is the last piece in a puzzle that allows us to extrapolate the plot of Episode VII. The other pieces being the previous leaked plot details (see link below), and the casting of Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher’s biological daughter, in June.

As I reported before, new cast members Daisy Ridley and John Boyega are looking for Luke Skywalker, an apparent hermit since Return of the Jedi. However, Luke is not a recluse, he’s a prisoner. Upon finding Luke, he explains the history of the order of Inquisitors, triggering a flashback that shows they have been associated with the Sith, and therefore the Empire, from the start.
Latino Review believes we will see Lourd as a young Princess Leia in these flashbacks.
Furthermore, the Inquisitors will be seen serving Darth Vader…oh yes!

One quote sums up the role of this new bad guy:
“It’s true that the main villain of Episode VII is a Sith Inquisitor. He’s tall and thin and terrifyingly creepy, with glowing red eyes to match his red lightsaber. He’s got some robotic upgrades, like Vader – but no mask. The cybernetic bits weave in and out of him. He’s got a human upper lip, a steel jaw… and the robotic hand that JJ Abrams posted an image of.”
Adam Driver was revealed to be the new Star Wars villain pretty much as soon as he was cast, and he fits the description of “tall and thin” and could very well be incredibly creepy.
The leaks and spoilers are, of course, yet to be confirmed by JJ Abrams or Disney. One thing is certain though; with these rumours as well as the latest leaked pictures of the Millenium Falcon and the new Stormtrooper look (thanks again Indie Revolver!) it’s fun trying to keep up with it all!
