Brian Patrick Wade has been announces as playing Crusher Creel – AKA The Absorbing Man – in the 23rd September episode, and while Marvel don’t quite go as far as calling him by his ‘codename’, it does seem that he’ll be a fairly accurate representation of the comicbook version.  In the article, they mention that “with his ability to absorb the properties of anything he touches, Creel will put Coulson and his team through their paces when their second season kicks off.”

It’s not clear whether he’s going to be a recurring character or just a ‘villain of the week’, but regardless, it’s great to see such a well-established character (not to mention a personal favourite of mine) making the jump to the TV screens.

Let’s just hope he gets to bring his ball and chain.
