With her run on Batgirl coming to an end, DC have announced that Gail Simone will be writing a brand new Secret Six series this December.

The series will feature six characters who find themselves thrown together and are forced to overcome their mutual hatred to work alongside one another.  And while the full roster hasn’t been revealed yet, Simone revealed in an interview with LA Times Hero Complex that the first two members – making their New 52 debut – will be Catman and Black Alice.

The Secret Six also promises to provide an answer to a myster that “all DC readers will want to know”, and that the series will have the same “black humor and edginess” that gave her previous run on the title such a cult sensation.
