1506849_10100161422122537_7772497722326123707_nA few months ago, superhero giants Marvel Studios and DC Entertainment revealed a list of release dates, but they left out some important information, like… well… the titles. Fans waited with expectation at SDCC and NYCC but no announcements were made. However, it seems that Warner Bros is the first to break the silence as WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara officially revealed DC’s plan for a cinematic shared universe.

Here’s how it’s shaping up;

  • Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice – March 25th, 2016 (directed by Zack Snyder)
  • Suicide Squad – August 5th, 2016 (directed by David Ayer)
  • Wonder Woman – June 23rd, 2017 (starring Gal Gadot)
  • Justice League: Part One – November 17th, 2017 (directed by Zack Snyder)
  • The Flash – March 23rd, 2018 (starring Ezra Miller in the lead role)
  • Aquaman – July 27th, 2018 – starring Jason Momoa
  • Shazam – April 5th, 2019
  • Justice League: Part Two – June 14th, 2019 (directed by Zack Snyder)
  • Cyborg – April 3rd, 2020 (starring Ray Fisher)
  • Green Lantern – June 19th, 2020

Judging by the solo films, The Justice League will be comprised of the members in the New 52 series. Interestingly enough the Justice League movies are sandwiched between solo films. Which make you wonder if the origin stories will be briefly mentioned during team-up films e.g. Batman V Superman or Justice League or whether those stories will be reserved for the heroes respective solo films.

Excitingly, Warner Bros also confirmed that the full movie slate will also include “stand-alone Batman and Superman films” that aren’t on this initial schedule.

We’ll be posting more news as it becomes available, as well as a breakdown of our thoughts on each of these movies individually, so make sure you stay tuned to the Big Comic Page.
