The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Sony have managed to pick up the rights to Eisner Award-winning Scott McCloud’s recently released graphic novel The Sculptor.
The book, published by SelfMadeHero in the UK and First Second Books in the US, drew rave reviews from critics – including myself – following its release earlier this month.
Scott Rudin and Josh Bratman have been named as producers for the adaptation.
Given how much I absolutely loved the book, this comes as exciting news to say the least – although it’ll definitely be interesting to see how the distinctive visual and narrative style of the book translates to the big screen.
