The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that Director Michelle MacLaren has left Warner Bros. in-development Wonder Woman movie.

An official statement from Warner Bros Studios, explained the departure, saying “Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together.”

No further explanation was given, although it has been heavily rumoured that MacLaren may be one of the front-runners to direct Marvel’s Captain Marvel movie, so we may still be given an opportunity to see her take on the superhero genre.
