Entertainment Weekly are reporting that the Cajun mutant movie has finally found it’s director. 

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes helmer Rupert Wyatt has been announced as taking control of the X-Men spinoff starring Channing Tatum in the titular role as the card-slinging hero.

Gambit has already appeared in the X-Men movie franchise back in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, played by Taylor Kitsch, but Fox have re-cast the role with Tatum who is also acting as producer alongside Lauren Schuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and Reid Carolin.

It’s early doors, but it looks like Gambit is in a safe pair of hands…
