Okay, so I I was a bit disheartened at not being able to get the SDCC 2015 Creature Crate as it had some great Ghostbusters stuff in it (look it up on YouTube), but was more than happy when I received my Heroes 2 Crate.
This is the first ‘sequel’ that LootCrate have done, and with the teaser image showing Link, Spock, Wonder Woman and Batman it’s safe to say that I was definitely looking forward to it.
So, here’s what was in the crate;

– Wonder Woman Poster (not pictured)
– Legend of Zelda Sweatband
– Batman Multi-Tool Keychain
– The League of Regrettable Superheroes book (LootCrate Edition)
– Exclusive Batman TV Series Q-Pop Figure
– Brawlhalla Exclusive content code
– Star Trek Air Freshener
All in all this is a decent if not particularly mixed crate. As with previous ones you can see where the money has been spent and where they have just grabbed what they can. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, It can definitely lead to disappointment depending on your personal preference and whether one of your franchises gets the ‘ahh, this’ll do’ treatment.
An example of this was the Xmas crate last year in which the majority of the money was spent on one item (the exclusive Joker Batman POP! vinyl figure). It was a very good item, don’t get me wrong, but the crate as a whole did suffer as a result. In this one the value has been spread a little more evenly and as such it does feel like you’re getting a lot more value for your subscription fee.
My favourite item in the crate was the book. It is an interesting read about all the weird and completely out-of-the-box characters that have been created over the years. There are some in there that the creators must have been on illicit substances when they came up with them, but it does make for a good read.
At the time of writing the next teaser hasn’t been announced so, unfortunately, I have nothing to look forward to yet.
Stay tuned to LootCrate.com for all the latest updates.
