BOOM! Studios have just announced details of the upcoming sequel to Dan Abnett and I.N.J. Culbard’s critically acclaimed Wild’s End.

This September, readers are invited to return to the sleepy village of Lower Crowchurch for the second chapter of this anthropomorphic genre mashup in Wild’s End: The Enemy Within, a paranoia-fuelled sequel which draws heavily from the likes of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

We absolutely loved the original series here at the Big Comic Page, saying “gorgeous artwork, engaging characters and the quirky combination of two familiar genres make Wild’s End something definitely worth seeking out” in our review of the first issue, so the prospect of seeing long-time BCP faves Abnett and Culbard working together again is definitely something we’re excited about.

As Clive, Susan, Fawkes, and the other survivors of the alien invasion of Lower Crowchurch try to cope with what just happened to their small town, the military arrives in an attempt to cover up the “incident.” Town residents are immediately detained, questioned, and treated with suspicion. Are they alien spies, collaborators, sympathizers? Clive and the rest will need to escape imprisonment if they’re to get the word out and warn the rest of the world before the aliens return.

Wild’s End: The Enemy Within #1 (of 6) arrives in comic shops on September 23rd with a main cover by series artist I.N.J. Culbard for the price of $3.99 under Diamond order code JUL151079.
