GOTHAM TV

Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller has revealed some truly exciting news, which might prove to be a game-changer for the divisive series. The Court of Owls are set to appear in the show at some point, but Heller is keeping the timing of their arrival a secret for now. In an interview with comicbook.com, Heller had this to say:

“Looking at the longevity of the show, we have to hold some cards back, we can’t just throw all of the elements, all of the story at once,” Heller said. “The long arc of the show is Bruce Wayne’s journey of discovery down into the depths of the physical and meta-physical world of Gotham. The Court of Owls is a brilliant conceit that will absolutely be part of our storytelling. I just won’t tell you when.”

Created by writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo, the Court of Owls first appeared in Batman Volume 2 , and proved an instant hit with fans thanks in large part to Capullo’s iconic character design. The Court are a secret society who control Gotham from the shadows, using enforcers named Talons to assassinate anyone who challenges their power base.
