Cinemax have released the second trailer for Outcast, their upcoming series based on Robert Kirkman and Paul Azaceta’s Image Comics/Skybound comic series.

The series will see Patrick Fugit (Gone Girl) play Kyle Barnes, a man who has witnessed people and loved ones throughout his life succumbing to violent demonic possession.   Philip Glenister (Life on Mars) will play the role of Reverend Anderson, a clergyman who has made it his mission in life to battle and purge demons wherever he finds them.

Outcast, based on Skybound/Image comic title by creator Robert Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta, follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now, with the help of Reverend Anderson, a country preacher with personal demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers to obtain a normal life he has never known. But what Kyle discovers could change his fate — and the fate of the world — forever.

The series is set to hit our screens in 2016.
