Ahead of the unveiling of the new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice this Wednesday during Jimmy Kimmel Live, a brief teaser has been released by Warner Bros showing The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight getting up close and personal.

Quite how much stock we should take in what we’re seeing – a gruff, surly Superman apparently holding Batman hostage – remains to be seen, with rumours swirling that this may be part of some extended “Knightmare” scene in the movie.

Either way, it looks pretty damn intense, and seems to add more fuel to the “hey, this Affleck guy might not be all that bad as Batman” argument.
