DC Entertainment have confirmed that their May 2016 variant cover theme will pay homage to the #1 issues of eleven comics that debuted in 2011 when DC rebooted their line with the “New 52”.
With a phenomenal assortment of talent providing homages to the classic covers – including the likes of Ben Oliver, Babs Tarr, Rafael Albuquerque, Francis Manapul and more – it’s interesting to see them offering their distinctive takes on the iconic characters.
Also, on a slightly less positive note, it’s a little worrying to see that only eleven titles from the company-wide reboot are still alive and kicking after fifty-two issues. That said, these covers are fantastic, and you can check them out in all their glory below;
