1BIG HEROES! BIG VILLAINS! AND BIGGER ADVENTURES this week, Share Your Universe with a brand new episode of MARVEL’S ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN VS. THE SINISTER SIX this Sunday at 9:00am/8:00c inside the Marvel Universe on Disney XD.

The new episode “Iron Vulture,” sees Spider-Man and Miles Morales join forces with Iron Patriot to take down Doc Ock before he can eliminate Norman Osborn.

Interestingly enough, The Wall Street Journal recently offered an update on Drew Goddard’s “Sinister Six” movie, saying “The studio will rethink its approach to the film, which remains in development, in light of the new agreement with Marvel.”

Sony’s “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” credits revealed the lineup to include the Green Goblin, Rhino, Vulture, Mysterio, Kraven the Hunter and Doctor Octopus. There’s no word on whether or not the lineup has changed.

But could this be Marvel’s testing out the waters before committing the revamped project? This is something DC Comics has done with both Vixen on The CW Seed and the Suicide Squad animated feature film “Batman: Assault on Arkham,” which capitalized by branding it a Batman film even though The Dark Knighthimself was hardly in it. They eventually moved forward by adding the character to its television show “Arrow” and announcing a live-action movie “Suicide Squad” respectively.

Although it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see the Iron Patriot face off with the Vulture in a “Sinister Six” film, the episode “Iron Vulture” could provide viewers with insight on what Sony/Marvel could have planned for Goddard’s “Sinister Six.”

Check out the clip below from the episode “Iron Vulture” which is set to air Mar. 6 on Disney XD at 9 a.m.
