Variety are reporting that Oscar-winning Brie Larson – who recently snatched a “Best Actress” gong for her role in Room – is the front runner to play Carol Danvers in the upcoming “Captain Marvel” movie.
While nothing is confirmed as yet, sources have told Variety that Larson is their first choice, and that she’s leaning towards playing the part. Captain Marvel has been bounced around a few times on Marvel’s cinematic schedule, but the movie – which still doesn’t have a director attached – is currently marked for a March 2019 release. Nicole Perlman and Meg LaFauve are currently writing the script.
So what do you think about the potential casting choice? Would you be happy with Larson as Danvers? Let us know in the comments.
