Geeking Out – 2017 preview, Red Beam Designs exclusives and giveaway contest!

Well hey there, and welcome to Geeking Out, a little corner of the Big Comic Page dedicated to playing pretend with assorted wood, cardboard and man dolls in various materials – that is gaming, be it board, card or miniature.

2017 is already shaping up to be an exciting year, with new Walking Dead goodies from Mantic, Batman: Arkham campaign and the Harry Potter game from Knight Miniatures, and Warlord’s Dr Who and 2000 AD licences to look forward to – and that’s just for starters!

And as if that’s not enough, we’re delighted to announce that the Big Comic Page is embarking upon an exclusive team-up with the fine folk at Red Beam Designs (http://www.redbeamdesigns.com) who, as well as producing a whole host of lovely MDF buildings (we love the Lo Phat Chinese Restaurant and The Pale Moonlight nightclub especially), also produce tokens for BMG, Kings of War, Bolt Action, Guildball and more – and you can win a set in the colour of your choice!

I would like to see a wee minimarket like the Kwik-e-mart. That would be cool and I don’t think anyone else does one

I’d love to see more scenery for the Arrow/Flash shows: Verdant, Big Belly Burger, Central City PD…

  Big Belly was definitely already one we were looking at but we hadnt thought of the other two. Personally Im a really big fan of Arrow in particular so definitely like the idea of getting in some buildings from these two shows

  Daily Bugle Building is something we are already looking at, probably the 90s Spider Man cartoon version I think as Im personally a big fan of that. We might have Super Hero Game tokens available next week, can’t promise anything though

Excellent. Would be nice to see some equipment nice equipment counters. Or perhaps some laser cut 3D Riddle Markers.

  I was working on some 3D riddle markers last night actually but didnt really like how they were coming out so going to have another think about the best way to do these, and other objectives. Equipment counters are something Sam and I have already discussed and theyre definitely something we need to add, I suspect it will be at least a few weeks for these though
