Deadline are reporting that the role of Dashiell Bad Horse has been cast in WGN America’s upcoming Scalped pilot, based on the Vertigo Comics series from Jason Aaron and R.M. Guéra.

Alex Meraz (Suicide Squad) will play Dashiell, who returns home to the Rez’ with a mysterious agenda after fifteen years in exile.

The pilot, which will feature a predominantly Native American cast, is being written by Doug Jung (Banshee). Meraz joins Lily Gladstone (Certain Women), who has previously been announced as playing Carol Red Crow, in the cast.
