As originally announced by Variety, Warner Bros have revealed that Emerald Fennell, the Oscar-nominated director of Promising Young Woman, is set to write DC’s upcoming Zatanna movie.

Fennell is currently riding high after her directorial debut nabbed no less than five Oscar nominations, including best picture, screenplay and actress for Carey Mulligan.

No official release date has been confirmed for Zatanna, and we have no idea yet who will play the titular fan-favourite magician.  Which begs the question – who would you like to see taking on the title role in this upcomign DCEU release?  Suggestions in the comments, folks!
