Ahead of its release later this month, we’re thrilled to be able to give you an EXCLUSIVE first look at the third issue of THE ODDLY PEDESTRIAN LIFE OF CHRISTOPHER CHAOS from Dark Horse Comics.
The LGBTQ+ horror series, written by James Tynion IV and Tate Brombal, was originally published on Tynion’s Substack (which is fantastic and you should definitely check out it, by the way) and features stunning artwork from Isaac Goodhart, colours by Miquel Muetro and lettering by Aditya Bidikar.
It tells the story of teenage mad scientist Christopher Chaos, and is described by Tynion as “a comic for folks who like teenage angst and horror monsters”, which is a fairly accurate summary.
Here’s the official publisher’s blurb for the upcoming issue:
Christopher and Dracula Boy joins forces to take on the crime-infested streets of New Briar City while, at the same time, look for a way to bring Christopher’s high school crush back from the clutches of death.
In addition to the five-page preview that you can feast your eyes on below, we’re also excited to be able to give you a look at all odf the variant covers for the issue, including more artwork from main cover artist Nick Robles, and offerings from Chris Shehan and Phil Jimenez.
The first two issues are available now from Dark Horse Comics, and issue #3 goes on sale August 23rd 2023 at all good comics shops and digital platforms.
