As part of the ongoing celebration of the 85th Anniversary of Batman, LEGO have just unveiled a brand new Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City Skyline set, which will hit stores on the 4th of April.

The 4,210-piece buildable backdrop measures over 76 cm wide, and incorporates 15 panels that remove to reveal the inside of Wayne Manor, the Batcave™ and Arkham Asylum, and the activities of numerous villains from Batman: The Animated Series. The set also includes 4 minifigures – Batman, The Joker, Harley Quinn and Catwoman – and a removable Batmobile and Batwing.

Not only that, but the assembled model can be mounted on a wall or stood on a surface using a flip-out stand. Also, in a neat touch, the 2 sets of included building instructions allow 2 people to work on the model simultaneously.

With a £259.99 price tag in the UK, it’s certainly on the steeper side of things, but should definitely be an appealing prospect for fans of Batman in general or BTAS in particular, even if the minifigs don’t quite capture that classic Bruce Timm aesthetic.
