First Look – Transformers #8 takes us back to Cybertron [PREVIEW}

With Skybound’s TRANSFORMERS # 7 going on sale this week, delivering “a new status quo for the Decepticons and more tantalising sub-plots than you can shake a Fusion Cannon at”, the publisher – in association with Hasbro – have just unveiled the first interior pages for the upcoming issue # 8, set to go on sale May 8th 2024.

This brand new arc sees Eisner Award-nominated artist Jorge Corona joining the team, replacing Daniel Warren Johnson who will solely be writing the story moving forwards. Mike Spicer continues to provide colours and Russ Wooton will handle the lettering.

The previous issue opened with a brief glimpse of the events unfolding on Cybertron, and the upcoming chapter promises to expand on that side of the story – particularly if the cover featuring Elita, love interest (and actual “wife” in some continuities) of Optimus Prime and sister to Arcee, is anything to go by.
