“You may be Captain America, but you’re not Steve Rogers.”

Marvel Studios have just dropped the first trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, which sees Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) picking up the shield and continues with some of the story touched on during 2021’s The Falcon & The Winter Soldier Disney+ series.

Excitingly, it seems to be firmly embracing the espionage/political conflict angle that made Captain America: Winter Soldier one of the best MCU movies of all time, and Harrison Ford seems to be having a lot of fun playing newly-elected US President Thaddeus Ross (replacing William Hurt who sadly passed away in 2022).  Oh, and the final seconds of the trailer suggest that we may be seeing a decidedly different side to Ross at some point during the movie.

Directed by Julius Onah, Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled to hit cinemas on 14th February 2025, as part of the MCU’s Phase Five.
