Ahead of its release next month, DSTLRY have unveiled a sneak peek at YOU WON’T FEEL A THING, a brutal thriller about a retired detective with amnesia hunting down his twisted serial-killer nemesis from the creative partnership of Scott Snyder and Jock.

You Won’t Feel A Thing follows Jack Bernard, an ailing, retired detective whose past comes back to haunt him. Decades ago, Jack was one of the most accomplished homicide detectives on the force, so dedicated that it cost him his family and personal life. Now Bernard wastes away in a retirement home with a brain tumor slowly sapping his mind of all memories. But when a disturbing serial killer case from his past reemerges, Jack must persevere, weaving together his remaining memories to stop a killer that only he believes exists. This sobering murder mystery explores the anguish of a man whose mind has turned against him as the body count threatens to rise.

Speaking about the series, Snyder said: “You Won’t Feel A Thing is by far the most haunting and atmospheric project I’ve ever worked on. The story is a descent into white-knuckle giallo and noir influences, with a healthy sheen of psychological (and very literal) horror. It’s a project that wouldn’t work on any level without Jock as a co-pilot, and we’ve been brainstorming and layering this deeply complex thriller into the twilight hours.”

Jock echoed Snyder’s sentiments, adding: “The claustrophobic, disorienting approach of YOU WON’T FEEL A THING is unlike anything we’ve done before. The oversized format of DSTLRY books allow us to push the boundaries of our creativity. This is a horror experience designed to blow minds and stop sleep. It’s an understatement to say I can’t wait for this to hit stands.”

Featuring variant covers from a murderer’s row of talent including Tula Lotay, Marcos Martin, Eliza Ivanova and more, You Won’t Feel a Thing is scheduled to release this December. An ashcan preview of the first issue will be available on dstlry.co later this week.
