Exciting news from Off the Page Games – hot on the heels of their excellent Harrow County Board game (review coming here soon!) we’re getting Grendel making the leap from comic page to tabletop! With a range of exciting and innovative mechanics, and featuring art from Matt Wagner himself, here’s the info:
Leaving a trail of blood and corpses, Grendel has executed the leaders of the 23 most powerful crime families in the US. While Grendel now dominates the criminal underworld, the assassin’s series of coordinated attacks has also, predictably, created a power vacuum. Now, some upstarts think that New York City–the crown jewel of the East Coast–is up for grabs. Grendel needs to set things straight but wherever he goes, the werewolf, Argent, is soon to follow.
Will the cold and calculating Grendel secure his grip after the so-called “Seaboard Massacre” or will the Mob rise up and take back what was theirs? Will Argent, the tireless hunter, finally corner his prey or will the Police put an end to this rampant crime spree?
Fight for control of the city as one of the four factions, each playing differently than the other. Focus your aggression, knowing that power and, ultimately, victory hang in the balance. Weigh your decisions carefully as each one could tip the scales in your favor.
Amazing features:
- Each of the 4 factions plays entirely different: Dice allocation, Chit pull, Push your luck, and Rondel!
- Never-before-seen towers with a built-in see-saw! Players add tokens of varying weight until it causes the see-saw to tip!
- New art from the fantastic Matt Wagner!
- Any factions can play against each other in a 2, 3, or 4 player game!
